Cooks Valley Cemetery Meeting

June 14, 2010

Chairman Ron Fanetti called the annual cemetery meeting to order on June 14, 2010 at 9:10 pm.  Cemetery committee present:  Ron Fanetti, David Clements, and Gary Yakesh.  Delegation present:  Eunice Steinmetz, Vernon Steinmetz, Victoria Trinko, Harry Prince, Earl Hassemer, Gene & Beth Pagel.    Gary Yakesh made a motion to accept and place on file the minutes of the June 8, 2009 Cooks Valley Cemetery meeting.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion passed 3-0. 

Discussion and action on maintenance and funding for the upkeep of the Cooks Valley Cemetery:   Harry Prince would like some black dirt for the cemetery.  Gary Yakesh made a motion for Harry Prince to purchase up to 10 cubic yards of black dirt for the cemetery as needed for 2010.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.  The fence is holding up well.

Discussion of cemetery mowing wages:  Gary Yakesh made a motion to approve wages of $10.00 per hour for labor and $10.00 an hour for equipment rental for the cemetery upkeep.  David Clements seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0. 
 
The town board commended Harry Prince for the outstanding job he has done on the cemetery.
 
David Clements made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 pm.  Gary Yakesh seconded the motion.  The motion carried 3-0.
